Disambiguation[edit]

This page needs a disambiguation page linking to ENTRUST the UK Regulator of the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme - but i don't know how this is done. The Yowser (talk) 09:51, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I do know how this is done, but cannot find an article on the UK Entrust. When this exists, either add the template {{For}} or create a new disambig page. HairyWombat 18:22, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Questionable Neutrality of Article[edit]

This article has very little substance as it contains barely any information relevant and significant to the general public. It is clearly not up to Wikipedia's standards of neutrality and independence but, to the contrary, appears to have been authored by Entrust's marketing department, glorifying the company and its current CEO's merits. -- HH 92.228.51.180 (talk) 23:31, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tagged it for neutral point-of-view. While not disputing your suspicions about the article's provenance, you might find a number of wikipedia articles, especially commercial and company articles, that have these issues. Could it be improved from this base of information to a more encyclopedic state?Cander0000 (talk) 20:01, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It would seem based on your comment, removal of the CEO section and potentially the first paragraph of the proceeding section would help in addressing your concern. --DallasSecurity (talk) 03:41, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

5 years later, removing the tag. This article could use a lot of work to be more informative (including reversing the history section and adding info on how it came from Nortel/BNR, and what has happened since going private), but neutrality appears to have been resolved, and whatever objectionable glorification of the then CEO has vanished. Martinp (talk) 04:53, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Origins[edit]

I could not find anywhere a reference to Nortel, which is the origin of the company. This has been added to the top section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vola31 (talkcontribs) 12:37, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Entrust Datacard draft?[edit]

Since Entrust and Datacard Group have merged, there is a Draft:Entrust Datacard article in the works, that should describe the merged business. Should this be a separate article, or should one of the two articles be the active article to house Entrust Datacard? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:08, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved. Looks like the draft one redirect here now. Anton.bersh (talk) 07:48, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Entrustpr2020 and WordSmith007 apear to be the same entity connected to Entrust[edit]

Entrustpr2020 was blocked some time ago after a few contributions to articles about Entrust, including Datacard Group and HyTrust. I'm afraid WordSmith007 is just a new account that belongs to the same entity due to similarity of edits done by two accounts. All edits are full of corporate talk like "diverse offerings", "recognizing company's focus", "digital transformation", etc. @WordSmith007: would you care to comment and clarify whether you have a connection to Entrustpr2020?

Entrust Inc. vs Entrust Corp.[edit]

Article uses two different names, Entrust Inc. and Entrust Corp. Which one is correct? Anton.bersh (talk) 07:47, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Website says 'Entrust Corporation' in various places, e.g. copyright banner at the bottom of https://www.entrust.com/rebrand-overview or in body text in https://www.entrust.com/legal-compliance/policies/ethics
There are multiple sources with 'Inc.' in them. This is speculation on my part, but may be there was 'Entrust Inc.' which in 2013 was acquired by 'Datacard Group' which subsequently rebranded as 'Entrust Datacard' and then as 'Entrust Corporation'? That seems the sequence of events implied by the sources. Anton.bersh (talk) 21:30, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Datacard Group into this article[edit]

Both articles say that Datacard Group is the former name of Entrust so they are the same entity and it makes sense to have a single article about the two. Also, both articles are short on sorces; merging and trimming of trivia content would help with verifiability. Anton.bersh (talk) 08:01, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tag on citation 58[edit]

I don't see why a secondary source is needed for the leadership of the company. Surely the company is the best reference available for that information?
