Not an advertisement

I see no reason to say that this article is written like an advertisement. It doesn’t have enough references, but there is no self-congratulatory or promotional text… just a lot of facts. Just because no one has spliced in any negative sections does not mean that the POV is not neutral. The box saying that it looks like an advertisement should be removed, maybe replaced with one asking for more references. --Another-sailor (talk) 09:09, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Even if this statement: "...finest collection of Chicago Imagist art in the world" had references, it would still sound self-congratulatory to me. And then there is this in the section on the library: "...Comfortable, welcoming, and ready to provide help..." These are statements of opinion, not fact. The Keg?

This is mindless drivel. While I know many students love their drinking on campus, this is pure hogwash. There is no such tradition at Elmhurst. I've removed it.76.214.198.139 (talk) 06:09, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Reverse conversion

154,000 square metres (38 acres), something is skookem. Peter Horn User talk 19:29, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

48 acres (194,249 m2) or 48 acres (19.4 ha), another good reason to use {{convert}}. Peter Horn User talk 19:47, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Page name change request

Elmhurst College will become Elmhurst University as of midnight tonight, June 30th 2020. While I have edited the page over the years to ensure it's accurate and updated, I'm hardly a Wikipedia expert and am unable to change the name of the page myself. I will change all references to "college" to "university" in the published sections, but can't change the page title. Here is an article about the upcoming name change to show that the request is legitimate: https://diverseeducation.com/article/148069/ If the page title could be changed by tomorrow July 1st, that would be greatly appreciated. You should be able to move the article to a different title. There is a "Move" option at the top of the article although depending on how you're accessing this website that option might be placed into a dropdown menu of some sort. Other editors might object or have different advice but I have no issue with you or someone else moving this article to the institution's new title. ElKevbo (talk) 13:56, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for your response. I'll give that a try. If I run into any issues moving the page to a different title I'll let you know.Paul1580 (talk) 14:29, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

I got it!!!!! (I'm also a proud Elmhurst Grad!!!!!) (I hope it's okay I went forward and changed it; I don't know if you wanted to be the one to actually do it, but I did it) Have a great day! And may there be blessings on Elmhurst's future! -TenorTwelve (talk) 09:20, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
