Simularity to a certain Marvel character[edit]

Doesn't this character remind you of another African silver haired blue eyed lady from Kenya? Only thing different is the fact the hair-length and the powers.

Well to be fair, their personalites are very different. Elena is many times more lighthearted than Storm.

Errors[edit]

"However, he also has a PhD in medicine obtained from a French university"

It's supposed to be "she also has..."

Also, is the "PhD in medicine" officially stated by Capcom? Because either way, it's still wrong. There's no such thing as a "PhD in medicine" because that's what an "MD" title is for. MD is a doctorate title for medicine and PhD is a doctorate title for the rest. Although an MD can also have a PhD title at the same time but only on specific fields within medicine i.e. PhD in Biochemistry.

  • That's what Capcom says. And a lot of things don't make sense. There's no such thing as a Ph.D. in dueling, either. JuJube 16:57, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

She was #25 in Japan in 2004 (also, Maki)[edit]

[1]

Also Maki Genryusai was #15, and here's more about her: [2], so can we plz have sum Maki? --194.145.185.229 (talk) 15:50, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Voice actor for Street Fighter IV[edit]

Right now the voice acting section on the right says Elena was voiced in English by Karen Dyer in Street Fighter IV, as well as Street Fighter X Tekken and Ultra Street Fighter IV. Did Elena appear at all in (vanilla) Street Fighter IV? I don't remember that, and I noticed there is no Japanese voice actor listed either. Could this be a mistake? Maybe someone got confused with Ultra Street Fighter IV? 89.106.166.114 (talk) 13:56, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe she appeared in one of the arcade mode endings in Vanilla? Not really sure. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 14:10, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

    a. (images are tagged and non-free content have non-free use rationales):
    b. (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/fail:

(Criteria marked are unassessed)

Infobox

  1. Voice cast inconsistently mentioned; only Kaoru mentioned outside of infobox, but only in lead.
    1. Fixed
  2. Needs to mention her Kenyan origin at some point, ideally in both lead and body
    1. Fixed

Lead

  1. I feel like the other media appearances could be summed up as "she appeared in other media" rather than listing examples.
    1. Fixed

Appearances

  1. Is it valuable to go into detail about her role in the other appearances?
    1. I don't believe I can condense that down more

Promotion and reception

  1. GamesRadar+ reception could be paraphrased more; also, it'd be helpful to explain why she was unlike Balrog, if possible.
  2. Some other reception could be paraphrased more.
    1. Fixed

Images

  1. I'm still mixed about the Akuma shot.
    1. Really works well with the comments about her story being too simple, especially Den of Geek's?

References

  1. Is MyFigureCollection reliable?
    1. It's cited heavily by other websites, and in magazines like AniMagazin. It's generally regarded as one of the go-to sites for cataloguing released figures now.
  2. Is Planet Xbox reliable?
    1. They were part of Complex Networks before they shut down and were folded into the main site.

External links

  1. Are these required?
    1. Removed

I'm somewhat mixed about the second image, but not enough to say that it doesn't pass muster.

  • Article was nominated within seven days of passing GAR. Article is long enough and within policy for neutrality and citations. Earwigs only ping some long proper titles and properly attributed quotes. QPQ has been completed. I think ALT0 is the more interesting option, but 1) the source seems to be saying that the team watched travel videos rather than films, e.g. videos that were uploaded to Youtube rather than feature films, and 2) it needs additional context to explain who Elena is. I would suggest something like:
ALT0a: ... that Elena from the Street Fighter video game series uses a capoeira fighting style, but as the development team had no experience with the style, they used travel videos as reference material?
Please ping me when you respond. Morgan695 (talk) 15:17, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
