No Spoilers[edit]

Please remove the Spiderman: Far From Home end of the movie spoilers from the main page of this article. It is absolutely unnecessary to spoil the end of the movie for people wanting to learn about who is in it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FB10:7021:1:0:0:0:DED5 (talk) 17:51, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Far From Home[edit]

Is it not becoming increasingly clear that the Elementals are not going to be in Far From Home? My edit was reverted because the sources on the Far From Home page say otherwise, but those 'sources' are just vague descriptions of the trailer that use the word elementals, and the only one that refers to the group from the comics seems to be inferring from Tom Holland using the term elemental.

The trailer itself uses easter eggs relating to Molten Man, Hydro-Man and Sandman. There are Lego and Funko Pops for Molten Man and Hydro-Man. They are referred to as "elemental creatures" in cast interviews, and that's just a description of what they are. Not to mention, the Elementals in the comics are extradimensional humans with power over the elements. In the movie, they appear to just be beings made out of the elements. Beings like that are called... elementals. It's just a generic buzzword, and every source confirms it, and every time 'elemental' is granted a capital letter, it's an inference by the writer of the article, it seems.

I'd argue it isn't even a case of them being composite characters with the Elementals - it seems people just saw the theme of fire/water/earth/air and applied them to random Marvel characters with no relation beyond the theme of fire/water/earth/air, which is just a really common trope, and I can guarantee there are at least five other Marvel groups structured in that way. So, can we get rid of it? --Oarkley (talk) 19:26, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Since my edit got reverted with no reason given, I'll include a source that says otherwise. I feel like it's no less a legitimate source than speculation based on the phrase "elemental" which can literally mean anything with a fire/water/earth/air theme. The most proof people have is the capitalisation of the word in an interview implying they're an actual team named the Elementals. An oral interview. Where capitalisation doesn't exist. I have a ton more sources, but for the sake of transparency, a lot of them do mention the Elementals but only in speculative tones. There is literally nothing definitive saying that this group appear in the movie. Just that elemental beings do. --Oarkley (talk) 19:21, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Pinging @Btpowers91: as the reverting editor in this case. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 20:18, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Just some proof, since people keep falsely editing this article. --Oarkley (talk) 21:06, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

When we get to the release of the movie, we will have to do further details on this version of the Elementals. It was mentioned somewhere by Jon Watts that they are inspired by Hydro-Man, Molten Man, and Sandman. --Rtkat3 (talk) 20:26, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm like 99% sure (and this is supported by the evidence) that they are Hydro-Man, Molten Man and Sandman, and not the Elementals. When they're described as elementals, it's with a lower-case e. Oarkley (talk) 20:27, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We have seen the creatures that are made of rock and dirt, lava, and water. Though I haven't seen any Elemental that is associated with wind yet if there is one. --Rtkat3 (talk) 20:30, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Those who have seen the world premiere have made it official that these Elementals are exclusive to the MCU and have a different origin to them. I'm just letting you people know that while not revealing all. --Rtkat3 (talk) 23:52, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

PLEASE DONT DELETE MY EDIT PLEASE![edit]

Please don’t delete in The Characters I put Molten Man, Hydro-Man, And Sandman just leave in case and if not then delete them! Just please don’t delete it! ZebraDX3.1 (talk) 02:11, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but we have no confirmation (in fact, we only have evidence to the contrary) that they're intended to be the team known as the Elementals. Even if they were, the team line-up is meant to represent the comics Elementals and they are not a part of that. Plus, we can't edit things based on the fact that it only might be true. Oarkley (talk) 16:14, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Jon Watts has confirmed the Elementals are from the same world as Mysterio invading the main MCU Earth.

This means literally nothing in the context of the page, and we're forgetting that Mysterio is an illusionist. Wait two months if you absolutely need to. Oarkley (talk) 12:17, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
