is there a difference between being an "ordained elder" and being an ordained something-else in the Methodist Church? If so, it should be spelled out here, I think. 66.92.144.176

Yes. In the United Methodist Church, both Elders and Deacons are ordained. There are differences. I will attempt to update this page (which really needs some other updates), but I don't have my Book Of Discipline handy, so it'll have to be later. –RHolton ≡– 14:34, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
