Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the list of Irish journalists and authors needs to be as complete as possible in order to remain authoratative, which is wikipedia's raison d'etre

Agreed[edit]

this art needs to exist as I just came looking for it and could find no suitable info elsewhere — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.191.234.98 (talk) 11:32, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unionist?[edit]

Is there any basis or reference that warrants Eilis being described as a 'unionist'? It occurs twice in the article. Seems to be a WP:V and WP:NPOV issue. 74 observer (talk) 22:19, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No feedback. Updating. 74 observer (talk) 17:23, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can anyone claiming is Eilis a unionist provide a reference that is not WP:UNDUE. The previous reference was to a throw-away line in a newspaper colour piece. For example, any substantive references for any of the following.

  • Is Eilis a member of a unionist political party?
  • Does Eilis attend unionist marches?
  • Has Eilis stated she has voted for unionist political parties?

Thanks 74 observer (talk) 17:29, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that one source is not enough to describe Eilis as a unionist. I'll post a message on the IPs page to look here. Firefangledfeathers (talk) 17:37, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers, indeed the final comment as to reason for sibling estrangement can probably be pared back to the bald fact (9.e remove any 'due to...'). Let's see what comes back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74 observer (talkcontribs) 20:21, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
