203.97.190.122 (talk) 22:09, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Site originally indicated eddy-current testing as useful for non-conductive materials. The NDT/NDE site shown in the links clearly states that only conductive materials can be tested by this method. Page http://www.ndt-ed.org/EducationResources/CommunityCollege/EddyCurrents/Applications/thicknessmeasurements2.htm of that site discusses method for measuring thickness of non conductive coatings on conductive materials. Thickness of non conductive materials can also be measured by using a conductive dolly for the eddy currents. Gdmsmith 20:54, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
