Fair use rationale for Image:The hours-ed harris.jpg[edit]

Image:The hours-ed harris.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:24, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Protest Section[edit]

Does this section need to be its own section? It's extremely short and could easily be merged into another section (or not included at all). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.80.208.38 (talk) 19:43, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

American Presbyterians category[edit]

Do we have any info on his current religious views? I know from experience that being raised in a religious family there's still a good chance of choosing another religion or abandoning it entirely. The category seems a bit presumptuous if we have no info. Karin Anker (talk) 02:09, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What Did Harris Do About the Draft?[edit]

The article says Harris was a star athlete who graduated from high school in 1969, the apex of the Vietnam War, but the article doesn't indicate what he did about conscription. Did he avoid serving via a safe lottery number? Did he have some impairment which earned him a deferment? In other words, the article lacks a sense of the history going on at the time he was finishing high school and entering college. I realize most people who write articles on Wikipedia are too young to be familiar with the era, or with the enormous pressures conscription placed on young men back then, but this is still a big oversight in this -- and many other -- Wikipedia articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.152.216.213 (talk) 00:47, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not even really start class[edit]

This is pretty bad. No real information on Harris's directing career, information kind of patchy and doled out unevenly and in a not easily comprehensible way. No focus to any of the sections. No real sources. Reads more like a fan blog than a genuine biography.Theonemacduff (talk) 06:45, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a novice so don't know the protocol, but wanted to note that this omits Alamo Bay, a film directed by Louis Malle. If I remember correctly, Amy Madigan also acted in it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.182.64.136 (talk) 20:07, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is there justification for linking to WP:Oklahoma?[edit]

The article text says only that the actors' parents were from Oklahoma. If there is no link to the actor himself, then I believe the article should be delinked from WP:Oklahoma. Bruin2 (talk) 23:06, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
