To do[edit]

Just made this page. Much more could be said. Logging info is only as of 2007. More recent info would be great—one source said the watershed is the largest old-growth forest on the BC north coast, but the one from 2007 mentioned quite a few major logging projects and even more being proposed. Would be nice to know the current situation. Also, better history would be good: indigenous, Port Essington and its cannery, more recent development (hydro, logging, etc). Probably ought to have sections for history, development (dams, logging), maybe "wildlife" instead of "natural history", perhaps something on geology as there's info out there about how the valley was once a fjord and stuff. Also, up to date info on indigenous claims and treaty processes would be great. Pretty sure this is still unceded land and part of BC's very slow treaty process, and that Tsimshian groups are working toward getting official recognition of aboriginal title.
