Despite the interesting information in this article, the last sentence has a smell of advertising ... I would be nice to focus a little more on the file format itself, like the change log, main packets, common usage, etc.

I reworded "Triton’s philosophy of promoting open data formats and continual improvement to keep pace with technology developments has established XTF as the de facto standard among sonar manufacturers." to make it lass advertisal. RJFJR (talk) 15:15, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I later went back and removed the part about it being the de facto standard because already says most common format. RJFJR (talk) 15:21, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
