Locomotive[edit]

This article uses the (I feel) archaic term for multiple units coupled together as "a locomotive" Granted, in the early years of diesel-electric locomotives, several (usually four) units were semi-permanently connected with drawbars, that practice was gone by the time these locos were introduced. This terminology can only serve to confuse those seeking knowledge here. LorenzoB 03:56, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

suggestion: to clarify, use "locomotive set" when referring to drawbar connected units. Ken (talk) 20:14, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
