Does this really need discussion? Merge, please! Bsd987 01:29, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not really no! I just wanted to make sure before taking action. As there isn't really anything useful from the other article to merge into this one, I'll just make it redirect to here. Stubbsy67 17:58, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I went to see REM in concert last year and Im pretty sure Michael Stripe said what this song meant and it wasnt what is written here. It has todo with River Phenoix dying and how hollywood screws up young talent. The song has many references to drugs in its lyrics. I cant remember what exactly he said but the interpretation here if definately wrong. Dont bother flaming me or anything Im just reporting what he said at the actual concert (the hyde park one suspended dueto the 7/7 bombings)

EBows do not create 'a distorted sound' on an electric guitar; the magnetic field induces vibration in the string, which makes it sound [arguably] bowed. Any distortion heard is achieved by pedals, outboard effects, or overdriving the amp. 72.237.31.206 (talk) 15:31, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
