"...makes Buckingham Palace look rather dull"?[edit]

The seventh paragraph under the heading "History" claims that "...that Queen Elizabeth II, a visitor, had supposedly said that the house '...makes Buckingham Palace look rather dull'." Given that Buckingham Palace is widely considered to be one of the grandest palaces in the world, is nearly 20 times the size of Dudley House, has multiple throne rooms and vast collections of old master paintings, and was re-designed and decorated by John Nash -- one of the greatest architects in modern history, whereas Dudley House has no throne rooms, no original furnishings or artworks, and was the product of a rather mediocre and minor architect, this claim borders on the preposterous. The source cited for it is a Vanity Fair article that is no longer available on their site, nor is it accessible through Archive.org. I propose that this dubious claim be removed unless or until it can be properly sourced. Bricology (talk) 08:59, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

At the time much of the interior was quite shabby. Perhaps it's a bit smarter by now but it's never good when there are workmen in.[1] BTW I hope you're feeling better now. Thincat (talk) 16:05, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
