• Hey DoubleGrazing, the first paragraph of the synopsis was not copy-pasted, but the second was. Apologies for my lack of knowledge, as I'm new to this, but what's the process for writing a synopsis stub? I assumed the publisher's synopsis would be sufficient. I've rewritten from scratch.   No worries, I removed that section, and it will shortly be suppressed in the edit history. And yes, I noticed that the entire section wasn't a copyvio, but I deleted it all anyway as it's often easier to rewrite the whole thing from scratch. I've checked your new content, and there is no copyvio in that, so well done! :) As for general advice on writing a synopsis or plot, you may find this essay useful: How to write a plot summary. And BTW, I also reviewed your article and approved it, so it is now part of the encyclopaedia, and will soon appear in Google searches etc., if it doesn't already.   @DoubleGrazing@Peepeepedia The first paragraph was still pretty much a verbatim copy of [1]. The second paragraph is a rehash but borderline enough to be ok "In his diary, Bram writes about his childhood days, largely spent bedridden in Dublin, with his siblings, Matilda and Thornley, and nanny, Ellen Crone. The Stoker children become suspicious of Ellen following a series of deaths in nearby towns. After Bram is miraculously healed from his ailments, she suddenly disappears into a bog without a trace. Matilda later departs for Paris to study, and returns after some years to report that she has once again seen Ellen – unaged. They set off to investigate Ellen, eventually revealing her connection to Dracula." Nthep (talk) 13:54, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

  Thanks @Nthep:, though I still don't really get how to write a synopsis stub. I thought (as did DoubleGrazing) that my first paragraph expressed the opening of the book quite well with my own words. I'm finding it pretty difficult to _not_ say something similar to what the back cover of the book says, because that's how it starts. Peepeepedia (talk) 14:58, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
