Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as lacking sufficient context to identify its subject, because... (Doug Dunville was a professional hockey player whose family lived in Malton Ontario Canada during the period mentioned in the table. If you Google "Doug Dunville Hockey" you will get many hits. I solicited suggestions from the Malton Community (via the "Malton Reunion" group on Facebook - currently 447 members) for nominations to the "Notable people" section of Malton, Ontario. The group suggested Greg Anaka Order of Canada, Doug Dunville, Gerry Gray and Chris Rudge. Gerry Gray and Chris Rudge already had Wikipedia pages so I just added them to Malton, Ontario. I created new pages for Doug Dunville, Greg Anaka and Malton Minor Hockey Association. I'm a new contributor and do not know all of the processes. Ok, the problem is that the article is just a list of information which needs to be turned into prose. Also, if he has played in major leagues or something like that, it must be said in the beginning, to explain why he is notable enough to have an article at Wikipedia. Something like this: "Doug Dunville (born in 1945 in X City) is a professional hocker player who has competed in X league for X team". And don't forget to provide sources, specially if he is still alive - Wikipedia now has strict policies regarding biographies of living people. As Victao said, ensure you include references to reliable, independent sources to show notability. I declined the speedy nomination as there was enough context, although it needed to be made clearer. Developing the article a bit would be good. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 01:30, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

@Sarahjolee: Please describe the photo. Is it a picture you took, like from the stands before or during the game? If so, then we can use it.
