1847?[edit]

The date of 1847 is based on a misunderstanding. That was the year of the original edition. In 1863 Owen added a chapter dedicated to Scelidosaurus and on that occasion the lithographs by Dinkel were added. These could hardly have been ordered before he received the material in 1858.
