I have two comments on this.

First, parentheses do not nest in formal writing (is this formal writing?). If so, "Network Information Centers" should be in square brackets.

Second, there is no discussion or link to a discussion on Canada's system.

I just replaced the dead link to ICANN's list of accredited registrars. At present, ICANN's Information for Registrars and Registrants refers readers to InterNIC for that information, "For a list of all current ICANN-accredited registrars, please see http://www.internic.net/regist.html." —Shelley V.
