prod[edit]

The primary author, User:Catherine Jo Morgan, seems to be absent. The only other substantive addition was a sentence and a half by User:Seattle Skier. No references other than to Ms. LaChapelle's are given. There aren't a great many that turn up in a simple search -- multiple, independent sources seem to be lacking. If no one else is able to add to the article in three years time, it doesn't seem like it'll ever meet WP:BIO. 66.25.169.151 (talk) 08:06, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plenty of independent reliable sources turn up in a Google Books search. I'm contesting the proposed deletion. Phil Bridger (talk) 14:10, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've added some sources to the article. I hope that that's enough to demonstrate that the subject was notable for more than being an appendage to her husband. Phil Bridger (talk) 16:01, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ecologist?[edit]

I don't question Dolores's notability, but wonder whether it's correct to categorize her as an "American ecologist." If that designation implies a scientist whose research is in the academic field, perhaps Dolores should be noted here as an author, philosopher, scholar, etc. instead. I tried a search on Google Scholar, and many books and articles came up, but none would be classed as "ecological" in the academic sense, I think. --Araucana (talk) 17:36, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
