Mentoring of Walls and Dodd[edit]

Dan Walls did his Ph D under Roy Glauber, so mentoring is an appropriate description. But Jack Dodd only had a fleeting acquaintance with Willis Lamb, while on leave in Oxford. Mainly, there was a discussion of the validity of Dodd's calculations on photon interference, resulting in Lamb eventually accepting Dodd's views. I gthink the term "mentoring" is inappropriate for this interaction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Carid23846 (talkcontribs) 06:55, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
