"First Cure album to be recorded for CD"

So the Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me article talks a bit about how it was the first Cure album recorded with cd release in mind, and how Robert Smith wanted to utilize the longer amount of time available on cd's (compared to vinyl), and then the Disintegration article starts off by stating that Disintegration was "the first Cure album to be specifically recorded for CD". so which is it? they can't both have been the first Cure album recorded for CD release.68.76.77.51 23:50, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

No such version currently exists, although a double vinyl is planned for when the remastered version comes out later this year.Runningofspace (talk) 20:11, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Well, the liner notes on the Disintegration cd say "THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP". I'd imagine someone, somewhere, must have made additional comments about this. Perhaps that it was mixed to take advantage of the larger dynamic range of the cd format, over vinyl and cassette? (Or something like that?)75.69.44.90 (talk) 00:53, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Release Date

Can we get a more specific release date than May 1989? Perhaps the day it was released, I have seen May 1 many times but is this the correct date? Runningofspace (talk) 01:41, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

According to http://www.musicemissions.com/blog/index.php/2009/07/23/indie-classic-101-14-the-cure-disintegration/ it was released on May 1st.
