New article review[edit]

As mentioned at Requests for feedback, the main recommendation I have right now for the article would be to reword it to eliminate the anthropomorphization of "dust particles". Specifically:

  • "Dust particles in circumstellar environments commonly experience the Differential Doppler effect. Red-shifted photons are perceived by the particle..."

The words in red should be changed to something less... subjective. ;)

Other than that, I think it is probably ready to have the "unreviewed" tag replaced and for it to be classified as a "stub class" article, which I will do momentarily. I am also still considering whether to formally propose that this material be merged into the exisitng Doppler effect article, though I do understand the reasoning already given by the article's creator at RfF on that point. No, on further consideration I agree for now that this material merits it's own article. i always felt my my wording there was a tad clumsy so i appreciate your comments. I revised my wording to make it read as clearly as I could and feel much better about it. Upthetrail (talk) 20:11, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
