Orthography, spelling and formatting - MOS Hawaii-related articles

MOS Hawaii-related articles is used in this article. — Maile (talk) 16:20, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

  • Balon Greyjoy I have once again reverted your revert of my revert. This is the second time in 10 days you have removed the ʻOkina on this article with the edit summary "replacing curly quotation marks/apostrophes with straight ones". The ʻOkina is not a quotation mark. It is an apostrophe-like letter indicating the glottal stop, serving as a consonant. It is a part of the Wikipedia Manual of Style. How are you coming upon these articles you do this do? Please stop, as you are incorrectly reverting approved MOS from WP:HAWAII. I am pinging Joeytje50 whose script you are using to do this. I noticed (and reverted) this on another Hawaiian article some weeks ago. How many Hawaiian pages have you done this to? Inasmuch as Wikipedia allows individual projects to determine their own Orthography, spelling and formatting, it is concerning that the script you are using might affect other non-English terms and names within the pages of English Wikipedia. Please stop. Pinging KAVEBEAR. — Maile (talk) 21:05, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
