Some lines are monorail? no citations.[edit]

This page "rail and monorail" in the info box and "Dhaka Monorail" is in the List of monorail systems but there are no citations and nothing to suggest anything other than railway technology is to be used. I can't find anything to suggest it was even considered. I will add a citation need tag but I suspect this is just the common confusion between an elevated railway ("Sky train") and a monorail. Tjej (talk) 08:02, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I found this source ["Experts for monorail in Dhaka to reduce cost"] which uses both "sky-train" and "monorail". I will delete monorail from the info box. The plans for the monorail seem to date to 2002 and have been converted to rail. [|Dhaka metro (planned)] Tjej (talk) 08:09, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Colors[edit]

Aren't the lines connected with their colors? Xx236 (talk) 10:54, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No offical color yet. Fascinating Fantasy (talk) 16:23, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I think the colors marking the lines are wrong. For example MRT line-6 is denoted by green in maps provided in stations. Also DMTCL logo is the official logo of the Dhaka metro. Shafayat400 (talk) 14:05, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Changing the colour code of metro lines[edit]

The Dhaka Metro Rail Lines are denoted as numbers not colours. Colour themes are used when colours are denoted for line. Dhaka's metro system uses number hence Theme colours of the metro like green and white or neutral colours like white and black should be used in metro line pages. This spreads misinformations too. MRT Line 1 is denoted as red and 2 as grass green which is not true. Make a uniform colour like green, black or white Here I am using this website (talk) 06:06, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Guys, there is no misinformation. I verified before denoted them. Here is the map of Dhaka Metro network at Uttara North metro station, check this image. Also this route map in DMTCL website also have assigned color for every line. Mehedi Abedin 07:04, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute about the current status of MRT Line 6[edit]

@Mehediabedin @Nafis Fuad Ayon @Ilhamnobi. After the opening of Motijheel section of MRT Line 6, there has been a constant edit and dispute on what the current status of the MRT Line 6 is. Well although it is still partially or partly operational since all the stations have not opened yet but the real question is, and this is where the conflict is, when all the station opens within two months, do we label the line as operational since the original length of the route (from Uttara to Motijheel) has indeed become operational or do we still consider it to be under construction because of the kamalapur section, since the plan to extend the mrt to kamalapur was made and approved long before the metro began its operations. please share your thoughts Uss157 (talk) 10:11, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Uss157 I am gonna express what I have seen in other metro related articles. Here "the project" refers to the initial phases of the line. Extension isn't the part of the main project (because it make sense, extension is just extension). And it is not misinformation indeed. It is clear that someone can't understand the point here. Kamalapur isn't under the main project, it was added to the reformed STP in 2016. That means the main project is Phase 1 and 2 which is now operation. It is true that Kamalapur extension was planned before the construction. But still the government referred it as extension, not the part of the project. The main budget of MRT Line 6 wasn’t included Kamalapur extension. Budget for Kamalapur was endorsed later. And that's why we should mark it as "operational". It is not hard to understand. Mehedi Abedin 10:23, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ok, i will keep mrt line 6 as under construction till all the station in the motijheel route opens, because some of the stations are not fully ready yet Uss157 (talk) 16:17, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Uss157 My opinion about the MRT line 6:

(1)Partially operational (Ongoing projects): Until the opening of the all but Kamalapur station. (2)Operational with ongoing extension:Until the opening of the Kamalapur station.Nafis Fuad Ayon (talk) 13:00, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

When in mirpur 1?[edit]

Does anyone know when it will come to mirpur 1? 2400:C600:3587:D174:840B:380A:ABFD:530F (talk) 20:00, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There will be a station at Mirpur 1. The station is included in MRT Line 5 North Route. Its expected to be completed on 2028 Fascinating Fantasy (talk) 11:27, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
