The BRIT School doesn't do foundation years[edit]

I'm a teacher, I went for a job interview there, the part that says O'Keefe was doing a Foundation Year for Music at the BRIT School is wrong. It is a comprehensive with lots of funding for Arts subjects. Foundation year implies it is a University. I don't want to alter your page though, so I thought I would just say that here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.3.145.0 (talk) 19:46, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

@Nqr9: just responding to your revert of my WP:N tag. WP:NBAND says that a band *may* be notable if it meets one or more criteria. It doesn’t say it *is* notable. That is down to consensus. This article has no sources other than to verify the chart positions - where is the rest of the content sourced from? Are there no sources that would satisfy WP:GNG? Is notability to be only based on it having released material that charted? I would say that is pretty weak notability if so. @Nqr9: An article having insufficient references does not mean that the group is not notable, or that such references do not exist. Having a top 10 single in the UK alone, with a song entered into the Eurovision contest, should establish notability. I edit mainly to add, correct or reference chart positions - I'm less interested in writing or referencing material within the text of an article. But this is an act that charted on 3 different national charts, performed on TV on major programs in those countries (including Top of the Pops), received national airplay and airing of their music videos on TV in the UK and Australia (and no doubt other European countries). A group doesn't need to have broken the US (if that's where you're from) to be notable. I don't think there is any dispute that they meet the notability criteria based on charting in three different countries alone, regardless of how well the rest of the article is referenced. Citation needed tags would be more-appropriate for this article than a notability tag.Nqr9 (talk) 13:48, 14 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
