Untitled[edit]

I just spent three hours wirinting the edit for this page and cuz someone wanting to put in 1955-1974 all my work was lost how can I get it back????????????????????????????????????????Milo4891

Did you save it or anything? Check your browser history, some of my stuff turns up when I hit the back button and check my history. Also, when adding stuff on a talk page, type in ~~~~ to let us know who you are :) Marc 06:05, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm actually gonna try again so who wants to add anything could you wait or post here first, I doubt anyone else is gonna elaborate as much as I did and plann to or else they would have already. So pleas pleas at least post here first.Milo4891 06:12, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Milo4891Milo4891 06:12, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Matter of fact I'm going to start saving to the page little by little so it might look incomplete but I's still typing so I'm doing this so I dont lose all my work again cuz that would suck.Milo4891 06:19, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Milio4891Milo4891 06:19, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, the work your doing is good so far, but I want you to take a look at this page about using sources for the information you're providing and also at this page about using a 'neutral point of view'. What you've done is great, and it's really good to see you working on expanding this article but you gotta be careful about how you're writing it.

I'm not gonna go behind you and undo your work YET, let's see how you fare :D --Marc 07:03, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help, I tried to put together something that somewhat resembles what I had before, although I didnt spend as much time on it as I did before cuz one I already did the resaerch and two I'm tired. I think I wrote a somewhat neutral articel cuz many of the things I wrote is how other feel about him. I wrote the article casued I was suprised a player I have heard so much about didnt have an article. Anyway, anymore suggestions and addition views or infor people have about him are welcomed, at least imo. After all to me this article is for everyone and anyone by everyone and any who wants to share about MaravillaMilo4891 07:46, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Milo4891Milo4891 07:46, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's good but the only problem is the point of view still. I know many people probably think he's a fantastic player, but you can't say things like that in the article, so be really careful and when you're less tired, go back over it and look for words that make it sound like you're making him sound wonderful. Like "stunning". Apart from that, some general clean up and you're fine! nice work :) --Marc 07:49, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok will do thanks. Milo4891 07:51, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Milo4891Milo4891 07:51, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

Add  # '''Support'''  or  # '''Oppose'''  on a new line in the appropriate section followed by a brief explanation, then sign your opinion using ~~~~. Please remember that this is not a vote; comments must include reasons to carry weight.
  • Support - I think I'm much more likely to search for someone via their actual name and not any supposed nicknames. Marc 17:10, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • OPPOSE!-His full name is Delio "Maravilla" Gamboa and that is how he was known as most to put him as Deilo Gamboa is incomplete. You might have to take into acount that in other countries and culture especially Colomba people are known more for there nicknames.

While you might not search for a nickname most soccer fans would ie Pele is a nickname, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Romario all of these are nickname why change it? I searched for Edson Arantes do Nascimento and got redirected to Pele. Delio "Maravilla" Gamboa was known as Delio "Maravilla" Gamboa. I tried to make Deilo Gamboa and Maravilla redirect to Delio "Maravilla" Gamboa and I think some have misunderstood why I did that. I did that cuz those or what someone who maynot be fimilar with him might look for but he was actually known as Deilo Maravilla" Gamboa. Discussion[edit]

Add any additional comments:
  • Google search results:
    • "Delio Gamboa": 219 [1]
    • "Maravilla Gamboa": 295 [2]
    • "Delio Maravilla Gamboa": 118 [3]
I think the current title is okay, given that "Maravilla" seems to be often used either together with "Delio" or even sometimes without "Delio". Chanheigeorge 08:16, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Delio Gamboa RenteríaDelio Gamboa – Delio Gamboa is a more recognizable title than Delio Gamboa Rentería. Also there are no more articles with the name Delio Gamboa so the Rentería makes no difference. Brayan Jaimes (talk) 13:30, 5 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
