"Acting"?[edit]

Lawsuit[edit]

The statement that the suit was filed by Briley's opponents is not really correct; it was filed by people who were interested in seeing the Metro Charter interpreted literally as it is written. It was probably to Briley's advantage for the special election to be held so soon after his being sworn in as acting mayor rather than giving opposing candidates time to gain name recognition and momentum, so this is worded poorly. 2600:1004:B114:E9EA:3454:E508:FA19:7723 (talk) 03:03, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
