Vandalized[edit]

I found this article vandalized. Maybe it can be protected? Thanks Camilo Sanchez (talk) 07:37, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

Wasn't he a friend of Dimebag? Should be mentioned.

I thought he died of a heroin overdose? Cdwillis 03:38, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you can provide a source for that, stick it in the article. Thanks, Pcb21 Pete 08:14, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I actually heard that he died from alcohol poisioning.

Dave Williams died from an undiagnosed heart disease. Drugs had nothing to do with it. Read the main Drowning Pool article.

*** I edited the death section. It falsely claimed that he collapsed and died on a tour bus. He didn't. He died in his sleep. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Care bear (talkcontribs) 09:10, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

      • Wow who was the idiot who yet again edited it to say he collapsed in the tour bus? He died in his sleep, this has been confirmed by his band mates. Also I found this to be quite strange -" A statement from his band mates during his funeral states that he was a gentle man who always made a point to give at least one person "The Gift"; especially to his fans." ......"The Gift"? WTF. That makes no sense. Lol. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Care bear (talkcontribs) 11:18, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Strange Behavior[edit]

The discussion link for Dave Williams directs here to Dave Williams (musician) although they are two different articles. Also, the Dave Williams article is also about a musician, who also happens to be named Dave Williams. I don't know what the procedure is to disambiguate a situation like this.

I'm going to change the line "Dave's body hit the floor of the band's tour bus in Manassas, Virginia.". To me, it just seemed dry and sick, to make a pun of his death off of their hit song.

Someone put in some crappy bands myspace with no relevance to drowning pool or dave williams. Its gone now, can we be sure that stays out? www.myspace.com/otherpeoplesmoney313 -that was the myspace page put in OPMRAP was the user that did it. Can we get him out? he is obviously trying to screw with the wiki --WhereAmI 04:24, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

Is it possible to put up a picture of Dave? If so, are there regulations, etc? --Stonesour025 23:56, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes there are restrictions. If you are a die-hard fan and want one, read the rules here:
Fair use: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Fair_use
Free image resources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Free_image_resources
Writing to Drowning Pool and asking for a photo would be one of the best things you could do, no watermarks or anything.--WhereAmI 06:00, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

HIV/AIDS?[edit]

was it true the Dave Williams had or died form HIV/AIDS? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.52.51.242 (talk) 18:42, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No he died from a form of heart disease, however his death is very controversial and I think that's because his autopsy results were never published. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Care bear (talkcontribs) 13:23, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Photo request[edit]

As the subject died in 2001, and I'm fairly certain there won't be any new pictures of this musician, therefore it becomes a NFCC race and not a new photo request. I'm removing the photo categorization. Hasteur (talk) 12:52, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
