I'm currently reading Pegasus Descending, and Dave Robicheaux is married to his second wife, Mollie, a former nun. I have almost finished the book, and never once has he called her Bootsie or referred to her as having a former life as the widow of a mobster...unless one believes Jesus is somehow involved in organized crime.
Pegasus Descending is the 15th of 19 books (so far) in the Robicheaux series. The character Bootsie Robicheaux is Dave's second wife and appears in the 2009 film In the Electric Mist, which is based on the 6th book in the series. She dies sometime between the 12th and 13th books. It's sometimes a good idea, though not vital, to try to read books in a long series in chronological order to get an idea of the character development and time line. Of course, it's not always possible to get hold of the books in the order you would wish. See James Lee Burke for the bibliography.
In the 4th book in the series, A Morning for Flamingos, Dave and Bootsie revive their old relationship, and get married in the epilogue. Mbshu (talk) 07:34, 23 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Didn't Robicheaux have a wife before Annie who divorced him because of his drinking? I am pretty sure that Annie is his second wife.2600:1700:7F11:6420:FD93:2C40:40F8:D708 (talk) 21:20, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
