Regarding notability[edit]
He has been a notable artist in the "IDM" music scene since the 90s. He's on the label with Gescom/Autechre, and is in a similar league as artists like Phonem or Arovane. I think he should have an article because he started very early and also influence Autechre in their melodic work. He hasn't been mentioned in a ton of news articles, but the following links should give some idea:

- He might be notable but the article does not show that he is notable. As it stands there is a lack of independent sources that may demonstrate that. Notability is not inherited from one artist on the same label. duffbeerforme (talk) 08:16, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Darrell is a legend and it would be unfortunate for his page to be removed. Sure he may not be the most widespread musician in history but that is not to say he is not highly regarded and widely revered. As pointed out above, one and a half million listeners on last.fm alone, and that of course will only count those who scrobble what they are listening to. I have re-written his page in the hope that this is sufficient to keep it here, and it is my hope that others can carry on adding more information as they see fit.
