This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... I am adding information on a public edit-a-thon event. I am adding information cumulatively. Nicholas has exhibited widely in New Zealand and been involved in numerous art organisations, including establishing and managing a major public art gallery.Auchmill (talk) 03:33, 13 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because as stated in the article, Darcy Nicholas holds a Queens Service Order for services to Museums. As the article also states, Nicholas received the 2014 Supreme Te Waka Toi Award from Creative New Zealand a department of the New Zealand government.
