Article is revised to reflect accurately on the Damon System's mechanics. the damon system is better than traditional brackets because traditional brackets cause friction with the rubber bands and the damon system doesn't caise fiction — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.216.236.101 (talk) 16:18, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have amended this article to more accurately reflect the science (some references given) regarding Damon brackets which now clearly shows there is no advantage to the Damon system over conventional brackets with regards to initial alignment of teeth or the overall treatment time.--Pmiles1107 (talk) 02:23, 17 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality? Citations?[edit]

I recognize that I know nothing about dentist stuff and just landed on this page by clicking "random article," but this page needs work. Did anyone notice that all mention of Dr. Damon is completely removed from the page? Does anyone else think that maybe he might be someone who should be mentioned, considering it's his system? And can we stop with the whole "they claim" thing? I edited it out and tried to stay neutral, keeping the doubtfulness, but I don't know anything about this subject. Needs way more citations. That whole first paragraph has no citations, despite referencing, y'know, sciencey-stuff.72.71.147.176 (talk) 01:32, 15 April 2017 (UTC)4/14/17[reply]

I dont understand why such a product is listed in wikipedia. While there is no article about straight wire appliance which should have been there. Damon. SPEED and Pitts are SLB brands and I dont think it even come closer to the concept of straight wire appliance which is an evolutionary stage of edgewise appliance system.
