Notability[edit]

Has major role in current film (Resurrecting the Champ), and other more minor roles. About as notable a child actor as Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick or Taylor Parks. All Hallow's Wraith 06:17, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The nominator is too bold to propose this article to speedy delete. But I favor more sources. @pple 10:01, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't seen Resurrecting the Champ so I'm unable to say exactly how major the role is. I find it difficult to believe that an eight-year-old has a notable career -- although I except Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick, who is essentially the subject of the film in which he appears, and I don't believe that can be the case for "Resurrecting the Champ". This career doesn't appear to be notable yet. But if more sources can be provided, I'm willing to be convinced. Accounting4Taste 15:44, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are eight-year olds without any career listed on Wikipedia (I mean minor nobility or royalty of the like). Please see Category:1999 births (or Category:1998 births, Category:2000 births). Goyo doesn't seem out of place when compared to the actors listed there (i.e. Kali Rodriguez). I'm not sure what kind of sources you would want, though? There are 21,600 Google matches ([1]). Okay, I give up -- I won't oppose retaining this entry, even though most of those 21,600 matches that I looked at (maybe ten) are completely empty, Roger Ebert's review lists him as eighth in the cast, most of the people in the births categories are children of the famous and/or titled, etc. Obviously you are sufficiently impressed by this young man's career to think it notable and I won't stand in your way. (Personally, I think Kali Rodriguez should have been deleted too.) It will be interesting to look back five years from now and see what happened to Mr. Goyo, and I wish him success. In the meantime, the kind of sources that would be most appropriate would be third-party reviews that discuss the acting talents of the subject -- not publicity releases or, like Ebert's review, the mere mention of his name. Found you some reviews. I would say pretty impressive and notable! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.237.143.21 (talk) 22:06, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
