Pravda[edit]

While reading a "very interesting" piece in Pravda, reporting that Don Imus was in fact NOT fired for his infamous attack on the Rutgers women's basketball team but actually for threatening to "tell the truth" about 9/11, I noticed an advertisement for "Daisy Fuentes, Hot Cuban Model and Actress." When following the link I found a slightly more revealing picture of her captioned by the text, "Daisy Fuentes (born November 17, 1966 in Havana, Cuba) is a Cuban model and actress," and sub-captioned by a statement that the captions were taken from Wikipedia text. Presumably to give the caption some sort of legitimacy. And, to boot, this article's barely been up long enough for Pravda to have referenced it, calling it's origin into some question. It's good to see "pravda" still translates the same today as it did during the Soviet era. Yay Communism! Daisy Fuentes is an American Model and Actress. As this article clearly states, born in Havana, but emigrated to Spain by the time she was three, and to the US by the time she was seven. A graduate of American schools, etc. This article should read, "Daisy Fuentes (born November 17, 1966 in Havana, Cuba) is a American model and actress," just as, for instance, Mel Gibson is described as, "an American-born *Australian* actor, director, and producer." (Though, since he is now an American citizen, it's not clear that that shouldn't be changed as well.) ~mjd 2007-04-16 10:42EDT

Article needs radical surgery[edit]

Currently full of promotional nonsense.

She is considered a role model for the growing millions of Latina-American women in the U.S.

Fuentes is writing her first book, entitled Unforgettable You, to be published by Simon and Schuster in the Spring of 2010.

with their two dogs, Alfie and Rita, who were featured on National Geographic's show Dog Whisperer.

Also, it is surely not necessary to list every single activity and TV appearance of the subject.

I will try, but know little about the subject.
