Untitled[edit]

Unify acquired Gupta Technologies and there isn't much there in the way of an article. Even if there is, the relative importance of that article may be disputed. I propose merging the two pages into this one.

Gupta deserves a page for it's own history. It's hard to remember the world of the late 80's when it comes to PC technology but Gupta Corp. had a definite impact on that world at that time. The fact that they were not the winner of that competitive war does not lessen the fact that they had a strong hand in the game. Unify played a different role historically and has it's own historical significance. I think that in the future having as much of that history available as possible, especially if some of the people involved at the time were encouraged to write it, could be valuable to technology historians in years to come. My simple argument against merging the two articles is that a merge reflects the modern reality only and completely ignores the strong history these two individual companies had. Billpennock (talk) 13:50, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Daegis is gone[edit]

Looks like someone should update this article. I think they were acquired by OpenText. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.231.170.9 (talk) 18:41, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
