Guns[edit]

Is this song sarcastic or serious? The lyrics seem ambiguous as to whether it's serious or not. The Ungovernable Force 08:06, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Initials for the band's name[edit]

I would like some evidence of how 12.47.169.125 knows that D.I. stands for "Drug Induced". 65.222.216.15 13:42, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

D.I. originally stood for Drug Ideology, but not for long. Unfortunately there is probably no source anywhere that would prove it. It's just something that those of us who were lucky enough to be punks in Fullerton in the early 80s know. Druff (talk) 20:48, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Play the very last track backwards on side 2 (12") of Horse Bites, Dog Cries, the band members jokingly chime in on the initials of what D.I. stand for. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.104.130.38 (talk) 22:15, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reunited in 2002??[edit]

I'm not sure that this date is correct. I saw D.I. play with Fear and I'm 99% positive that it was in 2000. They also only had one guitarist at the time as opposed to the two that are currently listed so I think there's a mistake on this page. Thepanicattacks 23:30, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're correct. The band never broke up and played consistently through those years. This article needs corrections in every section. Someone feel free to call Pier Records in Newport Beach, CA & interview Casey Royer (the only member of the band who has been in every incarnation). -Steve Roberts 216.105.75.190 02:53, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, Steve. There's too much incorrect information on this article. I also did a correction for Caseyology, which is actually a studio album not an EP. Offspringman (talk) 00:59, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's getting there. Chris Robosan's name is misspelled. If you could take the hiatus word out & add the release of the Two Girls One Stein 7" shortly after Robosan left the band (it has both Tim Maag & Chris Robosan playing guitar on it), it will be pretty close (I'd do it, but I have no idea how to edit wikipedia, and I'm not sure about the rules regarding my involvement with the band being considered original research) 216.105.74.183 (talk) 22:10, 23 March 2013 (UTC) Steve Roberts[reply]

D.I. influenced poseur-punk bands? Maybe F.T.E who's lack of a wiki entry and who's reference being their myspace page...[edit]

Whoever wrote this knew little of what they were talking about musically, basically calling mostly underground melodic hardcore punk and punk rock bands who formed in the late 80's poseur-punk bands, whatever that means, the first example cited is a completely irrelevant, unknown band with a MySpace page. Only the Offspring kind of changed their sound in that direction when they made extremely popular singles almost on purpose (while the rest of their albums remain true to the Offspring who broke out in 1994 with the most-sold ever indie label record).

Also there's the issue that poseur-punk is not a genre but a weasel word. 156.57.177.108 (talk) 13:04, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

German Tour 1990 Lineup[edit]

D.I. toured Germany in Spring 1990. An filmed interview exists on YouTube showing the 1990-1992 lineup showing John "Bosco" Calabro returning to replace Sean Elliott (Royer, Bosco, DRT, Alfie Agnew, Colburn
