Requested move 21 May 2024[edit]
It has been proposed in this section that Czech Sovereignty be renamed and moved to ČSSD – Czech Sovereignty of Social Democracy. A bot will list this discussion on requested moves' current discussions subpage within an hour of this tag being placed. The discussion may be closed 7 days after being opened, if consensus has been reached (see the closing instructions). Please base arguments on article title policy, and keep discussion succinct and civil. Please use {{subst:requested move}} . Do not use {{requested move/dated}} directly. |
Czech Sovereignty → ČSSD – Czech Sovereignty of Social Democracy – Current name of the party – see https://aplikace.mvcr.cz/seznam-politickych-stran/Vypis_Rejstrik.aspx?id=359 2A00:11B1:10A0:B96A:6271:2F46:C8B7:99C7 (talk) 15:18, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose either uses Czech Sovereignty of Social Democracy, or Czech Sovereignty or Česká suverenita sociální demokracie or Česká Suverenita -- WP:CONCISE use shorter names ; WP:OFFICIALNAMES do not use official names just because they are official -- 65.92.244.237 (talk) 03:57, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- COMMENT I will note that there are multiple entities known by "ČSSD" and CSSD, including a different Czech political party, Česká strana sociálně demokratická -- 65.92.244.237 (talk) 03:57, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- The best option, in my opinion, is Czech Sovereignty of Social Democracy. This reflects the current name as closely as possible, while avoiding the initials by which it is not yet referred to in sources (for disambiguation reasons, per anon), and against established Wikipedia style for initials.
