Why emphasis on Group A[edit]

Why did Soviet planners (and propaganda) focus so heavily on producing raw materials at the expense of finished goods and why did they continue doing so for so long ? 86.112.83.172 (talk) 09:49, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would imagine because the Soviet Union was quite lacking in modern industry and felt the need to rapidly catch up to the West by building up heavy industry. When you get down to it, of course, you can't even mass produce consumer goods without substantial heavy industry in the background anyway. Eddy1701 (talk) 20:37, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Centrosoyuz[edit]

How is it possible to write an article "Consumer goods in the Soviet Union" without mentioning Centrosoyuz? Even the article "Centrosoyuz" is just a relink to the article "Centrosoyuz building". ----141.13.170.175 (talk) 18:23, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
