The elephant in the room about this story, which would occur to most readers nowadays, is that if we grant many of the assumptions here then wouldn't a lot of the women turn to lesbianism? PatGallacher (talk) 10:54, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is an odd aspect of the story. What women are to do with their erotic needs is not addressed in the story (or at least, I did not notice it upon first reading.) Perhaps this is because it was written by a heterosexual male who did not see lesbians as a section of society worth acknowledging, or exploring.Codenamemary (talk) 22:33, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to Whoever created the synopsis for this story[edit]

This is a tricky plot to sum up, and someone(s) did a careful job recounting the story for this article. I have added some character names to avoid the awkwardness of repeating "the protagonist" / "the historian" etc., as well as a few other things. Just wanted to commend who ever created and worked on this synopsis in the first place. Codenamemary (talk) 19:26, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
