Merge[edit]

I have merged this page with Governor-General of Australia, as there is no office of commander-in-chief in Australia. Instead, the command-in-chief of the military is vested in the governor-general as one of their constitutional duties. For analogy, there is no office of royal assent, president of the executive council or minister commissioner, these are just some of the roles of the GG. If there are enough sources to justify a separate page, a broader one equivalent to Powers of the president of the United States may be appropriate instead.
