I think there is a little bit to add for the actor Ralph. He is a amazing actor and has been in many movies related to cobra Kai! Some include karate kid 1, karate kid 2 and more. 72.38.60.163 (talk) 21:50, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. All of those things are already in that person's article, which is linked in the lede. RudolfRed (talk) 00:23, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the Cultural impact section. It is an opinion piece and should be in Critical response to season 3 or Casting if at all. Cultural impact implies a legacy or lasting affect on society. Thanks 77.103.223.73 (talk) 19:49, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Citation error?[edit]

In the "Recurring" subsection, the last two bullets have "[6]" and "[7]", a seeming citation error. GeraldWL 01:45, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Gerald Waldo Luis: I removed the numbers, and I don't know whether the actors/characters there were backed before by a source cite. While editing here, I made note that the section appears to be pretty large, and I'm questioning whether some of the entries should even be there - are they actually recurring, or just minor characters with only two or three appearances? MPFitz1968 (talk) 02:19, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
MPFitz1968, I don't remember Sheila, Tim, Mikey, Stiven, Doug, Frank, Deryl, Trey, Cruz, Kenny, and Devon being recurring. Other CK viewers can correct me. GeraldWL 02:33, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Season 3: Hawk's Role[edit]

I don't see Hawk as the main instigator of Cobra Kai's Assaults. In fact he pretty soon begins to question Kreese's brutal methods, and even starts questioning himself, thogh it takes him a while to finally break with Kreese because he likes being Kreese's No. 1 for the tournament. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.207.159.226 (talk) 09:08, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Change "weary" in the below statement to either "wary" or "leary." "Weary" means tired. The kids weren't tired of Robby, they just me him. They were unsure of him, which should either be "wary" or "leary." "Leary" would be the better choice since it is most closely associated with a mistrust of strangers.

The Cobra Kai students initially feel weary about Robby's presence following the school brawl incident but warm up to him after he steals a snake at the local zoo as a present for Kreese. 2601:CA:8400:BEA0:DD54:19BF:FDFB:C4F0 (talk) 13:45, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done I changed to wary, since that seems to fit and was likely intended. RudolfRed (talk) 21:19, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Episode content has been split off into individual season articles[edit]

Noting that the following group of edits [1] removed content from the article and is now in three season articles for the series, at Cobra Kai (season 1), Cobra Kai (season 2) and Cobra Kai (season 3). Those three season articles had been drafts, and the content of each of the episodes at this article supposedly was copied into these drafts according to which season it belonged to. This is not the normal process by which content is split off from the article, and editors are encouraged to follow WP:SPLIT when doing this, which usually requires discussion. Also, WP:CWW requires attribution in each article's page history to indicate such a split happened. This is a policy related to copyright and licensing in Wikipedia; failing to adhere to this may create some legal issues.

My inclination was to revert the changes, but since this split-off was pretty convoluted, I won't bother. However, that doesn't prevent other editors from doing the same, and trying to go thru the proper processes concerning splitting and attribution of content. MPFitz1968 (talk) 02:14, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I attempted to provide attribution notices on the talk pages of each of the season articles, though more content from this article (e.g., Reception, Production, etc.) was also copied/moved into the season articles, which are not indicated directly in the notices. I will mirror the notices to this talk page shortly. MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:19, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@MPFitz1968 and SecondLooneyaccount: Aside from the attribution issue, which could easily be fixed, my bigger issue is that these season articles don't necessarily seem substantial enough to justify a split. Generally between 50 and 60 episodes are required before a split is justified MOS:TVSPLIT. Not to mention a large amount of the content seems like information that's just duplicated from here. Grey's Anatomy (season 17) is an example of a more ideal season article, one of these wouldn't HAVE to be that large but it needs more than what is there right now. If no additional information is currently available and if a split is deemed necessary than at this point it should only be to a List of Cobra Kai episodes page, thoughts? TheDoctorWho (talk) 00:50, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Given the 50–60 episode count called for in the guideline, this is no doubt premature for an LoE article, let alone season articles. And I do agree if a proper discussion were to have taken place to split, it should've gone to an LoE article. Season articles require a bit more than their cast and episode summaries. Was hesitant when I saw a Reception and Production section in each, though, but I'm thinking more substantial than just that ... if that Grey's Anatomy example is any indication. MPFitz1968 (talk) 06:35, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If there is enough information it's not necessarily a problem for a season article to exist before an LoE page (Stranger Things (season 3), Magnum P.I. (2018 TV series, season 1), etc.) but either way there's not currently enough information to justify the split. It probably wouldn't hurt to at least draftify those articles and merge the episode tables back here for now, I can work on them when I have to time and see if I can expand them it may just be a while. TheDoctorWho (talk) 14:18, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Alright I've gone ahead and redirect/merged per this discussion, draft articles are located at Draft:Cobra Kai (season 1), Draft:Cobra Kai (season 2), and Draft:Cobra Kai (season 3), if anyone else would like to work on them as well. I'll probably be starting with the third season article only because that is the most recent season so it'll be easier to find information, at the same time I wanna get through that before information from the fourth season starts burying third season. TheDoctorWho (talk) 14:36, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick update, after significant expansion the third season article is now in the mainspace again, I split the information about the soundtrack there too just because I thought it fit better. Will be working on the second season draft next. TheDoctorWho (talk) 16:38, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

List of Episodes, and Season 1[edit]

There are articles on Seasons 2, 3, and 4. A draft has been submitted of a list of episodes, and I will be accepting it. Is there a reason why there isn't an article on Season 1? Robert McClenon (talk) 18:46, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Robert McClenon: There exists a draft article for season 1, but I don't know if it's ready for review. I doubt that it's been submitted yet. MPFitz1968 (talk) 18:52, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Very well. Submit it when it is ready. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:59, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've been slowly working on the season articles as I get time and am just having them moved when they're finished. Season 1 is my next project, I do have to ask though is a list of episodes page justified yet? MOS:TVSPLIT generally calls for between 50 and 60 episodes and that's with the summaries. Once the season 1 article is split I can't imagine it meets the size requirements? TheDoctorWho (talk) 19:27, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
