The girl in Harmagedon[edit]

Delete Harmagedon girl: manga/film (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genma_Taisen#Harmagedon) not a closet screenplay Oqm4 (talk) 20:57, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry to have made a mistake. The English title of "Harumagedon No Shoujo" is not "Harmagedon Girl" but "The Girl in Harmagedon". By the way,Kazumasa Hirai may be well-known as an author of manga in USA but many Japanese regard him as a man in the field of literature .His main works are novels,of course, not "graphic novels" but literary novels."The Girl in Harmagedon" is also a literary work and it was written in screenplay form.

new information[edit]

In the postscript of "The Girl in Harmagedon"(volume one), Hirai wrote about a circumstance where he began to write this work.

While he was writing a novel, white ants increased and they ate his house. He became busy at extermination of the ants and this trouble made him tired. In this way,his desire to write the novel withered. After such days, suddenly,he got an inspiration. It was an idea of writing something in screenplay's format. In spite of some hesitations, on his principle that an author should obey inspiration,he decided to write "the girl in Harmagedon" .
