Family Guy

Removed Family Guy reference. There is nothing remotly significant about it that makes it worthy of note as a whole paragraph for itself. Since she did a small voice part in Family Guy, it might be appropriate to work it in to a paragraph about "other" work or voice work, but it certainly does not rise to the importence of needing it's own paragraph. Degree

Okay, I'm sure someone will come along and say there is a consensus to list honorary degrees in the manner I deleted, but I think it's awfully weird to list her as "Cloris Leachman, DFA" at the top of the article.--Dmz5 03:32, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Couldn't agree more. SomeAvailableName (talk) 22:21, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Frau Blücher

"Blücher" is not the German word for "glue," but rather a made-up. pseudo-German nonsense word. The German words for "glue" are Leim or Klebstoff. 66.27.69.255 (talk) 10:49, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, no, not all that "made-up pseudo-German nonsense": Blücher -- CRConrad (talk) 21:18, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
In fact, Blücher means "glue" in German. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.23.216.206 (talk) 06:11, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

In fact, this is totally sonsense. I'm german and I never heard of the word "blücher" my entire life. I also looked it up and I couldn't find any link between that word and glue. Except of english people asking if it really means glue. In fact, it doesn't. 89.204.130.247 (talk) 12:25, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Blücher was a German general in the Napoleonic war (1813) 93.219.181.143 (talk) 16:23, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Herbiebananas.jpg

Image:Herbiebananas.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Personal life

Cloris states clearly that her son was never married to Sharon Stone while on the Howard Stern Show, March 31, 2009. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.71.100.236 (talk) 08:58, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Is it proper to use the word "predeceased" when one of the parties is alive? Most commonly, this word is used in obituaries. Isn't it enough to say when her son died, without using the word "predeceased"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.103.86.61 (talk) 12:49, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Work On Two and a Half Men

Emmy Awards

The article states that Leachman has won 8 primetime Emmy awards and one daytime Emmy award but doesn't cite a source. Hjquazimoto (talk) 17:45, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Work history

I'm curious why all of her work history is not in some kind of chart, but her film history is. 76.175.83.154 (talk) 18:26, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

Early Career

> She was also one of the Raisonette Girls in the 1960s.

Should that possibly be "Raisinette Girls"? I can't find online references to either, but "little reason" doesn't make sense, while Raisinettes were (and still are) a product they could've been advertising.

BTW, I spoke with Cloris on the phone once (looking for a friend who'd just been at her house), and she was swell to me despite having a cold. Nice lady.  :?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by SomeAvailableName (talkcontribs) 22:32, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

I was looking for a reference to confirm the spelling, and I tried several variations - "Raisinette Girls", "Raisonette Girls", "Raisinet Girls" - and I can't find any reference to Raisonette Girls anywhere, no matter how it's spelled. The official name of the snack is spelled Raisinet.

I suggest this line be deleted if no citation can be found.

Cloris Leachman

One role Leachman played was in an " Ironside". She played the role of one having information in a kidnapping. A daughter of an old female friend of Chief Ironside from a previous episode is kidnapped. Leachman is questioned as she was at the ranch where the child was taken from. A call was placed asking for $200,000. Leachman is help at the ranch and is seen often throughout the episode picking up groceries ECT.She is the wife of the kidnapper who is visited by her husband while they make plans for getting the random money. This is how the 1st episode ends. Peter morin (talk) 08:01, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
