Munchausen[edit]

This should be mentioned in the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Münchausen_syndrome_by_proxy

Eminem's mother was a Munchausen by proxy case, she would pour things into his food so he'd be sick and she'd get attention. That's an important part of the lyrics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.61.41.1 (talk) 19:26, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dissin'[edit]

I'm new to Eminem, but having just listened to this song a couple times, I thought I'd check it out here for any additional insight. There's a line in the article:

goes on to reassure his audience that his words regarding his mother are not done for the sake of public attention "now I would never diss my own mama just to get recognition".

...I'm not positive, but I don't think that's what the words mean in context. The very next line says to "listen" (to the lyrics, the context) "before you think this is dissin'," so the one thing the line cannot mean is "Yeah, sure, I'm dissin' her, but not for the purpose of publicity."

Like I said, I'm new to his stuff, and not familiar with this style of music in general, but I took that to mean that yes, he had to get some stuff off his chest, and he was pretty mad at her for some things, but somehow it falls short of dissin' her. (I am having trouble reconciling this statement with "my daughter won't even attend your funeral" but that might still be letting off steam? It doesn't help that I'm not certain about the definition of dissing, either.) It seems maybe he's saying that even though she did some bad stuff to him, it's understandable given her circumstances, or something.

Regardless of the actual meaning, the lyrics deny the meaning that our article here currently proposes, so that needs to be changed. Kilyle (talk) 13:21, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Remixes[edit]

Whilst the article states the single's been remixed twice, the entry for Jacknife Lee recognises that he too has remixed this song. Though it may or may not have been released, it gets a lot of appreciation (on Youtube, for example); anyway the real point is that there is a clear inconsistency here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Covertly-cantankerous (talkcontribs) 23:01, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Headlights[edit]

Eminem mentions this song in "Headlights" and talks about how he doesn't perform this song anymore and apologizes to his mom about it. Should this be mentioned in this article? Bioniclepluslotr (talk) 16:50, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
