The label was founded by Gerhard Ortmann. Contrary to what WAS on this page, Burkhard Schmilgun (now A&R manager) was not one of the founders of CPO - he first became involved when he wrote the texts for CPO's Korngold Edition. (Ilja Nieuwland), 23 May 2007).
