We are aware that the wording on Cornish entries can sometimes be a contentious topic, especially those concerning geography. Age at death?[edit]

A snippet in Google Books claims that Marchant died at the ripe old age of 164!

CS Gilbert gives a long list of centenarians, and super-centenarians, including a woman named Chester Marchant who lived in Gwithian, and who, in 1676, according to one Mr. Scawen, reached the astounding age of 164 years. ... Vulliamy, "Unknown Cornwall", p. 220

Easy enough: I've added her to List of people reported to have lived beyond 130. Nice find! Not that I believe one word either; the author himself, Vulliamy, is clearly doubtful too. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 19:08, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
