Timing[edit]

"at the time the elm trees bloom four weeks before the maple trees bloom five weeks before redbud trees bloom eight weeks before the start of the apple tree blossom nine weeks before the peak of the apple tree blossom"

I think it's unclear from the text that these are all the SAME time. They are simply different reference points so you can figure out when the right time is in YOUR climate. --Michael Bush

Capital spelling[edit]

"Apparently, at the first time this type of backfilling behavior starts is the best time to do the Checkerboarding intervention."

Does the word have to be capitalized like above? I don't think it's necessary.

Remove article? Too trivial for Wikipedia[edit]

This article describes a novel method of beekeeping that was suggested in 1996 by one beekeeper after trying it for one year. There was a call for testers in 2006 but nothing came of it. There were no control hives, there was no control period preceding or following the experiment year, and the experiment took place in one location only. Bee hive performance depends greatly on location and weather, so you can't prove a method in just one year in just one location.

I can't find this specific method of swarm control anywhere else in beekeeping literature. Furthermore, the assumptions are not universally agreed on. -- leuce (talk) 12:11, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of sources[edit]

The first 2 lines of this article have 2 sources. The rest has 0 sources. I think this article is useful but it also needs to be paired with sources. I wonder where the source of the bullets at the end comes from.
