Perhaps the information available in the 1920s in Washington was unreliable. (Re "Green gown" may be [https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/green_gown used figuratively[, but here it is a garment dyed with green dye.--Johnsoniensis (talk) 16:17, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
