Wrong picture[edit]

I'm concerned that this page may have the wrong photo on it. According to the Kansas State Historical Society, that's Lutie Lytle, not Charlotte E. Ray. Stephen Aquila (talk) 03:16, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It might have been nice if someone informed me of this discussion, considering that I posted the photo - I only found out about this discussion now! There are three different websites that identify the photography as being Charlotte E. Ray. However, there are other sites that claim it is Lutie Lytle. For the time being, I will agree to keep the photo off Wikipedia until I can confirm just which lady was in the photo. And Adoil Descended (talk) 22:34, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • The image in question is captioned as "MISS LUTIE A. LYTLE" on page 379 of Occupations for Women: A Book of Practical Suggestions... by Frances Elizabeth Willard, et al. (1897) See this Google books page image. FYI, I'm suspicious that another photo identified on several online sites as lawyer "Charlotte E. Ray" is actually the dancer Charlotte Ray.Mary Mark Ockerbloom (talk) 00:39, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
