Whig[edit]

I have added this article to Category:Whig (British political party) MPs for English constituencies, as a) the Malton (UK Parliament constituency) article suggests he was a Whig when first elected b) The Liberal Party is generally said to have been founded in 1859, so as he was an MP before then he cannot have been a Liberal for his whole career (the majority of pre 1859 Liberals were Whigs).
