Death date needed[edit]

Can we not obtain his death date?--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 19:40, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth[edit]

Note the date of birth added to this article was added by an IP address user - User talk:65.184.192.172 - without as source. The user subsequently identified the source in an edit summary on the Alex Kerr (loyalist) page as being "Important people in the Troubles" by Arthur Stone- Franklinson, page 34. This book is not listed in the catalogue of either the British Library or the Library of Congress and the user has ignored all attempts to open communication about this issue whilst also consistently ignoring the one revert rule applied to all articles related to the Troubles from this judgement. I am noting this here as I would face sanctions for ignoring this judgement but users should be aware that the date is not reliably sourced. Keresaspa (talk) 17:16, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Having checked the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland I can confirm that there is only one Charles Harding Smith listed and that his date of birth is 24 January 1931, rather than the 1943 date claimed by the IP address. I will edit the article accordingly. Keresaspa (talk) 23:06, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
